Description

Here is a pencil drawing I have about 8 hours into. It is on 11" x 17" Bristol Board. I am a big fan of Spawn. Mainly the old concept of Spawn. I don't really care too much for where they took him after the first 20 books. Started to change direction into something less classic to me. Anyways, hope you like it and more to come!

I'm a dick so I like to point out the negative first. That being said, what the hell were you thinking? you're a moron for thinking you could take Todd Mcfarlane's masterpiece character and sketch it out brilliantly? Wait. You didn't say that? I did? Okay because it is so close to being true. You've nailed spawn in such a way he wouldn't feel out of place in superman, but still could fit right in with Hellboy. On a more serious note however, i do like spawn pieces that are cluttered. This one is a bit to open spaced if you understand what I mean. But the background is well done either way, the castles look splendid, It's good to see someone not just sketching out characters but working on some intensely detailed backgrounds. I'd rate you higher if this piece was colored because i just don't feel it stands out enough in black and white.
